How often do we explain our behaviour by pointing to what someone else has done? Our wounds are real, and the choices of others can leave deep and lasting consequences. Yet God loves us too much to let our past become our prison—or our excuse.
This week’s sermon, “Turn and Live,” explores God’s urgent invitation through Ezekiel, Jesus’ story of the two sons, and Christ’s humble obedience described in Philippians. God calls us to stop hiding, blaming and merely saying the right words. He calls us to turn towards him and live.
This is not a demand to repair ourselves before coming home. Jesus has already carried our sin to the cross. Through Christ, God forgives us, renews our hearts and gives us a new beginning.
This week's bible study and daily devotions and bible study continue this journey, helping us consider where God may be leading us to take responsibility, seek forgiveness, repair a relationship and discover that yesterday does not have to determine tomorrow.
