Who Do You Say I Am?
Some questions are interesting. Some are important. And some change everything.
This week Jesus asks: “But what about you? Who do you say I am?”
Peter answers: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
That confession takes us to the heart of the Gospel. Our relationship with God begins not with what we do for Him, but with what He has done for us. In view of His mercy, we are forgiven, renewed and called to live as members of Christ’s body. This week’s devotions explore what this means for daily life: trusting Jesus, resting in His mercy, using our gifts and remembering that our hope is not in how tightly we hold onto Jesus, but in the wonderful truth that Jesus holds tightly to us.
