You are salt. You are light.
But what happens when you don’t feel very bright? What about the days when faith feels small, patience runs thin, or you become painfully aware of the ways you have failed to love?
This week’s daily devotions take us deeper into Jesus’ words from Matthew 5 and Paul’s reminder in Ephesians 5: “Now you are light in the Lord.”
Each day explores what it means to live as salt and light—not by trying harder to earn God’s love, but by beginning again with what Christ has already done for us. We will reflect on forgiveness, staying connected to Jesus, putting on love, and trusting God to work through the small and ordinary things we do.
Take a few minutes each day this week to read, reflect and pray.
You may discover that being salt and light is not about doing something spectacular.
Sometimes it is simply allowing the love you have received from Jesus to shine into the life of the person right beside you.
